Yoga Rave, new age yoga partying

Are you looking for an alternative to drinking, drugs and regular raves? If so, yoga raves, a unique party, free from alcohol and drugs where the body only responds to the stimuli from the music, yoga and meditation, may be just the thing you are looking for. While singing & dancing along to mantras, one feels true energy, joy & enthusiasm that come from within, not as a result of something external. The initiative sprang forth from the Art of Living Foundation, the largest volunteer-run NGO in the world. They envision a new wave of entertainment for young people, based on nothing but music and our mind to create an atmosphere of natural enthusiasm, celebration and joy.

In regular parties the process of intoxication depletes the energy. On the other hand in Yoga Rave the process does not deplete the energy, rather it brings spiritual enlightenment. But if you want an advanced or a more matured definition of Yoga Rave, you can compare it with Tantric Sex. In regular sexual intercourse we lose energy, but Tantric Yogis, who practice tantric sex, use sex as a spiritual way of retaining Prana or life energy. Similarly, in Yoga Rave you dance, have fun, meet people but do not lose your energy, rather develop an alternative spiritual channel that brings more life energy. Yoga Rave reenergizes you. It revitalizes, rejuvenates and refreshes. Yoga Rave is a movement that will support all people to come together in deeper connection and celebration, without the fallout.

More conventional yoga studios are also incorporating music and parties into their programs. But not all the Yoga Rave parties are designed in a similar fashion. Of course they have some elements in common, but not all. Most of the parties usually start at 7 a.m. First part of a Yoga Rave party is Music session where a group of singers sings yoga chants over a deafening rock beat. Some people love to dance with the music and chanting. While some other prefer eating Indian organic foods, drinking nonalcoholic cocktails.

Next part is a guided meditation session where an instructor guides you towards an alternative state of consciousness. There has been actual research done showing that when people meditate, they can alter their brain's biochemistry, which they believe is the key to how it affects our physical health. It essentially changes the neural makeup of our brains, enabling you to react appropriately to any sources of stress. Goal of this session is to help you fight stress, depression and anxiety.

Some parties include Yoga sessions designed for beginners so that anyone can attend these sessions and practice some yoga poses. Some other includes lecture sessions where experienced instructors or gurus explain the benefits and joy of healthy living. But not all the Yoga Rave parties follow the same sequence. Yoga Rave, a new interactive entertainment experience, is the perfect mix between sounds and silence, movement and stillness, a total connection with your body through the music, and active meditation.
